Viognier - Laurence de Veyrac - Pays d'Oc - France
Laurence de Veyrac Viognier has a light yellow colour with green glints. On the nose the first notes are of tropical fruits, citrus and pine resin fruity aromas which develop into yellow peach and mango hints. The palate is fruity and lively with a rich well balanced mid palate with more peach and fresh pear flavours. The finish offers a very interesting lemony taste.
Owned by the Lord of Guers as from the 13th century, the Domaine de Castelnau has very ancient origins. Since 1997, the estate belongs to Béatrice and Christophe Muret, thus carrying on their wine-grower forefathers’ vocation.
Situated halfway between the Mediterranean Sea and the Massif Central foothills, 4kms away from the historical city of Pézenas, the Estate vineyard extends over plains and garrigues.
This estate is certified HVE Haute Valeur Environmental. This certification encourages farms and vineyards to focus on increasing biodiversity, decreasing the negative environmental impact of their phytosanitary strategy.
