Sauterne - Lafon - Bordeaux (Half Bottle)

Aromas of golden honey, peach, vanilla, oak and tarte tatin. There's an excellent character of noble rot. A very pleasing texture, gives a feeling of unctuousness. It's fresh and not cloying. It delivers so much of what we enjoy in Sauternes. It can be sipped chilled after dinner on its own, perhaps with a few strawberries or slices of peach or roasted pineapple or a fine fruit tart (apple or apricot). It's also delicious with pate, scallops, duck with mango, vegetables with a confit of fennel and sweet potatoes, as well as blue cheese such as roquefort or beenleigh blue, and epoisses, when not too runny.
