Cascina Fornace - Viska - Piedmont

In Santo Stefano Roero, in the Cuneo region, lies the young Cascina Fornace winery, founded in 2009 by Emanuele and Enrico Cauda. From the very beginning, it has been run according to organic farming standards. Today, Cascina Fornace is firmly moving toward an increasingly rigorous and natural approach, allowing the land and grapes to express themselves to the fullest. No synthetic products or herbicides are used between the vines, and selected yeasts are not used during the winemaking process. Fermentation occurs without temperature control, there is no filtration or clarification, and minimal sulfites are added at bottling.

Fun, informal, and spontaneous, Viscà is the house's "everyday" Nebbiolo. Without added sulfites, it sparkles, complements, and quenches. A red with a light, easy touch, yet one that reveals its tenacious character when sipped, never overly conciliatory.
