Contra Soarda - 121 BC - Veneto (Orange Wine)

An orange wine, only made in the best vintages and from the top pick of fruit. Macerated on the skins throughout fermentation, then wine is aged for 6 months in Austrian wood tonneaux (untoasted) and then transferred to ceramic eggs for another 6 months. Deep golden-copper in colour, it offers layered aromas of apricot, honeysuckle, saffron and caramel, alongside a mineral edge. The palate is textured and complex, with a chewy grip that unfolds into a vibrant finish of citrus peel and lasting dryness.
