Domaine des Garcons - Chardonnay - Beaujolais

Beaujolais produce a very limited selection of white wine. The grape is Chardonnay as in Burgundy. 

This specific wine from Domaine des Garcons is very zesty dry and mineral. There are some stone fruits and touch of biscuity notes to balance the minerality of the wine.

From two clay-loam plots, north and northwest exposure.
One plot planted 5 years ago, the other about 30 years old.

Hand harvested grapes pressed for 2h45.
Aging on fine lees for 6 months, followed by aging in
stainless steel tanks at 13 °C for 10 months.
Sulphites added and filtration before bottling.

Since its inception, Domaine Les Garçons has prioritised working in harmony with the land. Loïc Crespin and Fabien Pinguet farm just over 7 hectares in Beaujolais, using organic and biodynamic practices to express the character of the region’s diverse terroirs. Demeter certified, they work according to the lunar calendar, focusing on soil health and promoting biodiversity throughout the vineyards. All grapes are harvested by hand to preserve their integrity and ensure quality in the final wines.
