Jean Bourdy - Cotes du Jura Chardonnay

Jean Bourdy - Cotes du Jura Chardonnay

A traditional Jura Chardonnay from one of the region’s most storied estates. The grapes come from 30–40-year-old vines planted in clay, limestone, and blue marl soils. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged for 36–48 months in old oak casks, without fining or filtration, resulting in a wine that is both pure and expressive.

The nose reveals aromas of ripe pears, baked apples, and subtle floral notes, with a hint of nuttiness. On the palate, it is dry, with bright acidity and a mineral backbone that adds structure and length. The finish is clean and persistent, with lingering notes of citrus and a touch of spice.

This wine exemplifies the unique character of Jura whites, elegant, complex, and well-suited for aging. It pairs beautifully with dishes such as roasted poultry, creamy sauces, and soft cheeses.
