Maison Bonnard - Mondeuse de Montagnieu - Bugey

Maison Bonnard's Mondeuse de Montagnieu is a distinctive red wine from the Bugey region, near the Swiss border. 

A beautifully structured Mondeuse with intense aromas and pronounced tannin structure. On the nose: dark fruit notes of blackberry and cherry, with spicy and floral hints. On the palate, concentrated fruit flavours are supported by firm yet well-integrated tannins, balanced by refreshing acidity that brings vibrancy and poise. Excellent ageing potential.

Pair with rich, flavourful dishes—grilled meats, sauced dishes, game, and aged cheeses. Its robust structure complements rustic regional cuisine perfectly.

Grown on clay-limestone terroir on steep slopes (30–60% gradient). Natural vinification using biodynamic practices.
